A number of homes have been evacuated due to a security alert in north Belfast.

Police received a report of a suspicious object at Clifton Crescent.

Army Technical Officers are at the scene carrying out a full examination of the suspicious object.

Clifton Crescent is closed to traffic and Cliftonville Road between Rosapenna Drive and Manor Street has also been cordoned off.
