WEST BELFAST GUN ATTACK: MAN SHOT IN THE LEGS

ONH PICDETECTIVES believed a dissident republican gang were behind a gun attack in west Belfast.

A man was injured following the shooting on the outskirts of west Belfast.

Ambulance crews were called to Glasvey Gardens in Twinbrook around 8.40 pm on Wednesday night.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to both of his knees and was been taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Sinn Féin MLA for the area, Jennifer McCann, said there could be “no excuse” for the attack.

Detectives believe the violent dissident group Oglaigh na hEireann were behind the gun attack.
