POLICE have praised officers after a ‘profilic’ offender was taken off the streets in north Belfast.
Response teams from Tennent Street police station were down responding to a 999 call in the New Lodge again late last night.
A member of the public was threatened by two males who were armed with a knife who then stole some property.
“The response team then followed the males and made a great arrest of a prolific offender for threats to kill, criminal damage and robbery,” said Sergeant Damien Walsh.
“The stolen property and a sum of cash has been recovered and returned to the owner.
“This was great work again, and shows what our response teams are doing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”
