FREEZIN FOR A REASON 2… (L-R) Special Olympics Ulster athlete, Jonathan McCartney, joins Belfast International Airport’s Graham Keddie, PSNI Assistant Chief Constable Will Kerr, Belfast International Airport Constable Naomi Morrison and Special Olympics Ulster’s Shaun Cassidy, to handover a cheque for £11,550.71. The funds were raised through the Polar Plunge which saw over 100 people plunging into 4,000 gallons of ice cold water in December. Special Olympics Ulster provides year-round sporting opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities. This summer, 12 local Ulster athletes will take to the stage at the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles.
