DETECTIVES are investigating an aggravated burglary in east Belfast last night.

Police a 44-year-old man sustained suspected broken arm and leg in the attack.

They say five or six men armed with bats forced their way into house on London St, Belfast last night and assaulted him.

Crime scene investigators have examined the house for any clues to the attackers.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on the 101 non-emergency number.
