THE PSNI say a cannabis factory has been found in south Armagh.

Officers from E District Support Unit uncovered the factory during searches to support a HMRC investigation in South Armagh.

One man was arrested under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971,

Sergeant Mark Wright said: “During the search in Concession Road we found a cannabis factory in an outhouse.

“We recovered between 19 cannabis plants, lamps and other paraphernalia.

“We arrested a 52 year old man for possession of Class b drugs and cultivating cannabis.

“He is currently assisting us with our enquiries.”

The suspect has been taken to Ardmore Police station for questioning.
