A 45-year-old woman is being quizzed after a man was stabbed in west Belfast.

The incident happened in the early hours of the morning off the Shankill Road.

A 57-year-old man was taken to hospital after the stabbing in west Belfast.

He was found lying in Conway Street shortly after 2.50 am on Sunday.

Police say it is believed that he may have been stabbed at a house in Wilton Street.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The woman is in custody at Musgrave Police Station and is being questioned about wounding with intent to commit grievous bodily injury.
