DETECTIVES have charged a 45-year-old woman with attempted murder following a stabbing in west Belfast.

She is to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning.

The charge follows the discovery of a 57-year-old man found lying injured in Conway Street off the Shankill Road around 2.50 am yesterday, on Sunday, 1 February.

Police believe he had been stabbed at a house in nearby Wilton Street.

The victim was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
