DETECTIVES are investigating the report of an aggravated burglary at a flat over the weekend.

It happened in Queens Court, Coleraine, on Sunday 1st February.

It was reported that three masked men forced their way into the flat at around 9.15 pm and attacked the male and female occupants with a hammer and crow bars.

The three attackers then made off from the scene in a car with a loud exhaust.

Both occupants were later treated in hospital for cuts and bruising.

Detective Sergeant Ryan Brennan has appealed to anyone who was in the Queens Court area and who may have noticed any suspicious activity to contact CID in Coleraine on 101.
