DETECTIVES in Antrim are appealing for information following an armed robbery in the Main Street area of Crumlin last night.
Police say that just before 11pm, a man armed with a suspected firearm entered a convenience store and demanded money and cigarettes from the staff.
The man is thought to be aged in his mid to late 20s and was wearing a dark coloured hooded top.
He made off with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.
Detective Inspector David Skelly said: “I would appeal to anyone with any information about this incident to contact CID at Antrim Police Station on the non emergency number 101.
