A 17-year-old teenager has been remanded in custody over a hijacking in north Belfast.
He was one of five males arrested on Sunday following a hijacking off the Cavehill Road.
Officers from the PSNI’s Auto Crime Team and detectives from Repeat Offender Unit helped to stop the car using a stinger device.
The police helicopter was also used to keep track of the vehicle.
The teenager appeared at Belfast Youth Court on Monday charged with a series of motoring offences including hijacking.
He was remanded into custody to appear at a later date.
A second male aged 19 was also charged with a series of motoring offences and he will appear at Belfast Magistrates Court next month to answer those charges.
