POLICE have seized a substantial quantity of contraband cigarettes and tobacco and cash from a property.
The raid happened in the Cookstown on Saturday but details have just emerged.
Inspector Keith Hicks said: “Officers from Dungannon Crime Team carried out a planned search of a property in the Rathbeg area of Cookstown.
“Officers seized approximately £20,000 worth of contraband cigarettes and tobacco and £4000 in cash.
“No arrests have been made and enquiries are continuing.
“Criminality can come in many different forms and has a negative impact on communities, including local businesses. I am confident that our proactive efforts here show that local police are committed to tackling crime and keeping people safe.”
