POLICE are appealing for information regarding a street robbery on North Queen Street, near the old police station.

It happened around 8.30 am on Wednesday 14 January 2015.

During this incident a male tried to steal a female’s handbag and made off with a purse containing a considerable sum of money.

Said a spokesperson: “If you witnessed this incident or have any information which could help apprehend the suspect please contact police at Antrim Road on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Con Power, New Lodge Neighbourhood Policing Team.”
