MAN HUNTED OVER BB GUN ATTACK

musgrave psniDETECTIVES are appealing for information following a shooting incident in Iverna Street, Belfast.

Police say officers received a report that at approximately 7.10 pm on Friday night a man shot a 33 year old man with what is believed to be a BB gun.

He received injuries to his face and abdomen.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

The assailant made off on foot in the direction of Donegall Road.

Detective Sergeant Dolores Black said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Detectives at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
