Matthew Goddard beaten and then murdered with his electric guitar

DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team probing the murder of Matthew Goddard on Tuesday 23 December have been granted extra time by a court to question three suspects.

Two men aged 29 and 35 years old arrested yesterday, Tuesday 6 January on suspicion of murdering Mr Goddard at his Chobham Street home in east Belfast.

Detectives say Mr Goddard was found beaten to death in his home on Christmas Eve night by a friend.

He was badly beaten and attacked with his electric guitar.
