DETECTIVES are on the trail of three masked men with guns have robbed a shop in north Belfast.

Police say that the masked men, carrying suspected firearms, stormed the shop at the junction of Wallasey Avenue and Ballysillan Road shortly before 10 pm and threatened staff.

No one was injured during the armed raid but the men fled with cash and of cigarettes.

Two of the men were described as being aged in their late 20s and were wearing hooded tops.

Detectives at Tennent Street CID have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on the 101 non-emergency number..
