A WOMAN is facing a possible court appearance after being arrested for suspected drink-driving in east Belfast on New Year’s Eve.

Police say officers detected the 49-year-old on the Ravenhill Road just after mid-day.

She was detained on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.

The suspect was taken to Musgrave Police Station for questioning.

Police say officers were out in force over New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day to try and detect drink drivers and “keep people safe”.
