She was Linda Stewart Rooney from the Lisburn area.
The 48-year-old was knocked down and killed by a Transklink bus within the grounds of the city’s bus station in Smithfield Street shortly before 10.30 am on Monday, December 29.
Following her tragic death, Translink chiefs closed the depot.
An investigation has now been launched into how the accident happened.
Translink said its thoughts and sympathies were with the family, relations and friends of Ms Rooney.
It added that the bus driver had been left “distressed” as a result of the accident and would be given support by the transport company.
