NI ROADS CLAIM 79TH ROAD VICTIM

POLICE ACCIDENT 2A woman has become the latest victim to die on Northern Ireland’s roads in 2014.

She was killed following a one-vehicle crash in Co Fermanagh over the weekend.

The Boa Island Road was still closed near its junction with Letter Road late last night with diversions put in place.

The woman, who has not yet been named, was the 79th person to die on Northern Ireland’s roads this year.

This is despite high profile police and Department of Environment campaigns aimed at trying to stem the tide of deaths on the province’s roads.
