DETECTIVES are appealing for information following the report of a robbery at a store at a retail park last night Monday 15 December.

A masked man, armed with a machete was reported to have entered the premises on Cookstown’s in the Orritor Road area at around 7.30pm.

He threatened staff and made off with a sum of cash, in the direction of Munrush on foot.

He was described as being in his 20’s, around 6’ tall, thin build. He was wearing navy hooded top, grey jogging bottoms and trainers.

Detective Inspector Hazel Reid said: “I would appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information which may assist officers to identify the suspect to contact CID at Cookstown on 101.

“Information can also be passed anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
