ARSON ATTACK INVESTIGATION AFTER GAS PIPE SET ALIGHT

Antrim serious crime suitePOLICE in Antrim are investigating  an arson  with intent to endanger life at a residential property in the Tiger Court, Towns Park area in the early hours of this morning Saturday 6 December.

Detective Inspector Deborah Eakin said:

“At approximately 3 am yesterday morning police received a report that a gas pipe had been broken and set on fire.

“A man who was in the property at the time was uninjured however, this wreckless act could have turned out very differently.

“All lines of enquiry are being followed at this time and I would appeal to anyone who has information, witnessed the incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area to contact detectives  at Antrim CID on the non-emergency number 101.

“Or if someone would like to pass information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
