Missing Ellen Brennan has returned home safe and well

POLICE have called off the search for a missing woman.

The PSNI offiers had become increasingly concerned for the safety of a pensioner who was reported missing by her family in County Armagh.

Ellen Brennan, who is known as Eileen or Ellie, has not been seen since 5 pm on Monday, when she left her home in Crossmaglen to go to a local shop.

Her family told police it was very out of character for her not to come home.

Officers had appealed for sightings of the pensioner, who is 5′ 3″ tall, slim, and has brown hair and blue eyes.

She was driving a silver Vauxhall Agila (registration DXZ 2889) when she left home.

Police in Crossmaglen have now said that Ellen Brennan has now returned to the family home and thanked the public and media for its help in trying to trace her.
