A Belfast couple has won almost £13 million from the weekend draw.

Camelot, who runs the National Lottery, said the couple won £12,935,936.30 in Friday’s Euromillions draw.

It added that the couple plan to go public on Tuesday at a press conference in the city.

The National Lottery is exactly 20 years old this week.

To date it has made 81 people millionaires in Northern Ireland.

Among those who it made a millionaire was Belfast bus driver Peter Lavery who scooped £10.8m.
