CIGARETTES AND CASH STOLEN IN NORTH BELFAST KNIFE-POINT ROBBERY

PSNIDETECTIVES are appealing for information following an armed robbery that occurred in Antrim Street, North Belfast yesterday evening, Thursday 6 November.

Detective Constable Gareth Hussey said: “At this time it is believed that two masked men entered a shop just after 6.30 pm and made off with a quantity of cash and cigarettes.

“It is believed that the men may have been armed with a knife and a screwdriver. After the robbery they got into a white Renault Megane being driven by a third male.

“Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact CID at Tennant Police Station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
