POLICE are advising the public to lock their doors and windows to keep ‘creeper’ burglars out.
They say opportunistic thieves enter homes via unlocked doors and windows and are stealing car keys and other valuables which are being left on hall tables or in easy to reach areas.
A spokesman said: “Only last night there were three reports of persons entering homes by this method.
“Please ensure doors and windows are locked and keep keys and valuables hidden from view.”
On Sunday in south Belfast, thieves made off with two top of the range Audi cars following a suspected ‘creeper’ burglary.
