Man to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court over creeper burglary

POLICE have charged a 21 year old woman and a 22 year old man in connection with a creeper burglary last night.

They have been accused of burglary, handling stolen goods, aggravated vehicle taking and a number of motoring offences.

The man is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning, Thursday 6th November, while the woman is due to appear at Belfast MC on Tuesday 2nd December.

“All charges will be reviewed by the PPS.”

The charges are believed to relate to the theft of a car in a creeper burglary in the Cranmore Gardens area of south Belfast on the evening of Tuesday 4th November.

Chief Inspector Robert Murdie said earlier today: “The stolen car was sighted in the Nutts Corner area just after 10pm.

“The car was kept under observation and was abandoned in the McDonnell Street area of West Belfast at approximately 10.15pm.

“One man aged 22 has been arrested on suspicion of taking and driving away (TADA), dangerous driving, possession of a class B controlled drug and possession of a class C controlled drug.

“A 19 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated TADA and no insurance.”
