CAR STOLEN AT CHARITY CLOTHING BANK

PSNI logoPOLICE in north Belfast are appealing for information following the report of the theft of a vehicle in the Shore road area of Belfast on the afternoon of Monday, 28th October.

Speaking of the incident, Inspector David McBride, said: “At approximately 12.35pm, a 78 year old male parked his silver Audi A3 in lay by close to a shopping complex and got out of the car to put clothing into a charity clothing bank.

“Before returning to the car, an unknown male, described as being in his late twenties and wearing a light coloured jacket, got into the car and drove off, driving over the man’s foot. There was no report of any injury.”

“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Police at Tennent Street station on the non-emergency number, 101.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111”, he said.
