DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Major Inquiry Team have made a further arrest over the Official IRA murder of Eddie Gibson.
The father-of-one was shot dead by on Friday evening off the Falls Road in west Belfast.
Police believe it was a punishment shooting that went wrong.
It is alleged the OIRA had accused him of raping a woman, a claim denied by his family and friends.
MIT detectives say the 57-year-old man was arrested in west Belfast on Monday afternoon.
They are also continuing to question a 30-year-old man who was one of three people arrested shortly after the attack.
The two others – a man and woman – were released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
