MAN FREED OVER DEATH OF BELFAST QUB STUDENT

POLICE ACCIDENT 2POLICE have released a 29-year-old man on bail who was arrested following the death of a student in Belfast last week.

It has been alleged that first year university student Enda Dolan was knocked down by a white van as he crossed the Malone Road in the south of the city in the early hours of last Wednesday.

Mr Dolan was from Killyclogher in Omagh, Co Tyrone and was studying architecture at Queen’s University of Belfast.

The PSNI say that a 29-year-old, detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, has been released pending further inquiries.

A 19-year-old man also arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs was freed on bail last Wednesday.
