PIZZA DELIVERY DRIVER HIJACKED IN WEST BELFAST

Woodbourne PSNI stationDETECTIVES in west Belfast are appealing for information after a report of a vehicle hijacking incident at the Milford Place in the early hours of this morning.

Inspector Paul Noble said: “Shortly before 1:30am, it was reported that a pizza delivery vehicle believed to be a silver Mazda 5 was making a delivery in the area.

“It is believed that two males armed with knives approached the vehicle and threatened the driver.

“The man was not injured but left badly shaken.

“The men drove off from the scene towards the Springfield Road area. Enquiries are continuing.

“Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact CID in Woodbourne Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
