DETECTIVES in North Belfast are appealing for information following an incident at a house in the Gainsborough Drive area on the evening of Friday 10th October.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Conor Sweeney said: “A report was received by police that at around 10pm on Friday, a number of masked men armed with hammers and bats entered a house and assaulted two male occupants.

“Damage was also caused to the property before the men made off on foot in the direction of North Queen Street. The two occupants were not seriously injured in the incident.

“I would appeal to anyone with any information to contact detectives at CID in Tennent Street on the non emergency number 101 or alternatively information can be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
