PSNI APPEAL AFTER YOUNG GIRL STRUCK BY CAR

police accident 1POLICE in Newtownabbey are appealing for information following an rtc in the Prince Andrew Way area of Carrickfergus on the afternoon of Wednesday 17 September.

At approximately 1.40pm, a car struck a 3 year old girl at a filling station in the area. The driver of the car, possible a silver Vauxhall Astra, did get out to see how the child was but then left. The girl required hospital treatment for her injuries which were not life threatening.

Constable Alison McConnell said: “I would appeal to the driver of this car to please contact me at Newtownabbey Police Station on the non emergency number 101.”
