MAN HUNTED OVER ROBBERY AT NORTH BELFAST BANK

Police scene armed copDETECTIVES in North Belfast are appealing for information following an armed robbery of a person at a bank in the Shankill Road area this morning.

The report of the robbery was received just before 9.40 am.

A man, believed to be armed with a machete, made off in the direction of the city. He is described as being approximately 5’9″ and stocky build.

Detective Inspector Jacqueline Scott appealed for information: “I would ask anyone who seen this car or who knows anything about this incident to contact CID at Tennent Street Police Station on the non emergency number 101.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
