It followed a night of heavy wind and strong winds, with gusts of up to 70 mph.
A Met Office yellow weather warning issued yesterday will remain in place until about midday today.
The Ballygowan Road in Belfast, the Blaris Road in Lisburn and a number of roads in County Armagh have been closed.
