Chief Inspector David Moore, Area Commander for East Belfast said: “We received a report that at around 8.30 pm, a man armed with a knife and a crow bar entered the shop and threatened staff members.
The man, who was described as being around 5’11” tall and dressed in black clothing, took the contents of the till and a quantity of cigarettes then made off on foot.
There were no reports of any injuries following the incident. I would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact police at Musgrave on 101. Information can also be passed anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
