TWO men have been released pending further inquiries after they were arrested following the seizure of two firearms in west Belfast.

Detectives from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch arrested the men, aged 48 and 26, earlier today.

It followed a search of a house in the Glenshane Gardens area of Andersonstown.

A number of items, including two firearms, were recovered during the search.

They have been sent for fingerprint and ballistic testing.

On Friday evening, police said both men were released pending further inquiries.
