DETECTIVES from E District’s Tactical Crime Team have arrested a 39 year old man on suspicion of arson.
Detective Chief Inspector Stephen Wright, explained: “We received a report of a car on fire at Hillhead Walk, Banbridge, around 10.55pm last night (Wednesday, 24 September). A black Fiesta Edge had been set alight.
“We attended immediately and arrested a 39 year old man a short time later.
“He is currently in custody assisting us with our enquiries. We are also investigating possible links to a number of other arson attacks which have occurred in the Banbridge area.
