POLICE are hunting a thief who stole money from a charity box in a city centre parochial hall  at the weekend.

The money was taken from a charity box in a parochial hall on Derry’s Pump Street on Saturday afternoon last.

PSNI Constable Sarah Honeyford said the suspect was wearing a black tee shirt and blue jeans and was carrying a holdall.

Const Honeyford said information could be given on the police non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively, it can be provided to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
