Police probe ‘suspicious’ death of Sean Corrigan

DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch are appealing for information following the death of a 31 year old man at a flat in the St Mary’s Gardens area of west Belfast on Saturday 13th September.

Detective Chief Inspector Justyn Galloway said: “The post mortem results indicate that Sean Corrigan may have died in suspicious circumstances so I am keen to establish his last movements and the circumstances leading up to his death.

“We are carrying out a full investigation into his death and I am seeking the assistance of the public to help us with our enquiries.

“I would specifically like to hear from anyone who was in the St Mary’s Gardens area between 1am and lunchtime on Saturday 13th September and who may have seen Sean or have any information which may assist us with our investigation.

“With his family’s approval, we have today released his name and photograph to help jog people’s memories.

“Anyone who thinks they may have seen him on Saturday 13th September or who may have any information should contact the Major Investigation Team on 02891801507 or text 07717 473543 or email MIT3@psni.pnn.police.uk.

“Alternatively, people can call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and provide information without giving their details.”
