SEVEN ARRESTED OVER PSNI CRACKDOWN ON BELFAST CRIME WAVE

musgrave psniTHE police have reported another busy week for officers that work in Belfast’s Reducing Offending in Partnership unit.

A total of seven people have been arrested and charged with multiple offences.

A further three other individuals have been sentenced for a range of criminal offences.

A 21 year old man was arrested and charged with Aggravated Burglary and Theft from a Motor Vehicle. He appeared in court and was remanded in custody.

A 24 year old man was arrested and charged with 4 counts of Burglary, he appeared in court and was remanded in custody.

An 18 year old man was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Burglary and 2 counts of Theft. He is to appear at Laganside Magistrate’s Court later in October.

A 25 year old woman was arrested and charged with 3 counts of Theft, she appeared before court and was subsequently released on bail.

A 17 year old youth was arrested and charged with Going Equipped for Theft. He is to appear at Belfast Youth Court later in October.

A 23 year old man was arrested and charged with theft. He is to appear at Laganside Magistrate’s Court later in October.

Another 23 year old man was arrested and charged with Theft, Attempted Theft and Obstructing Police. He appeared in court and was remanded in custody.

A 32 year old man was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment for a number of burglaries.

A 22 year old man was sentenced to 5 months imprisonment for Taking and Driving Away a vehicle, Possession of Drugs and other motoring offences.

A 15 year old youth is serving a 6 month detention order for Theft, Criminal Damage and Assault.
