POLICE CRIME CRACKDOWN NETS OFFENDERS

Laganside Court houseTHE PSNI’S Reducing Offending Unit in Belfast have made a number of arrests in an effort “to keep communities safe”.

Said a spokesman: “Over the course of the last week a number of arrests were made by Reducing Offending Officers.

“A 19yr old man was arrested and charged with 24 offences to the next available court.The charges were for burglary, criminal damage, theft and vehicle interference.

“He was subsequently remanded in custody. A 15yr old youth was arrested, charged to the next available court and remanded in custody re: two counts of criminal damage and further threats to commit criminal damage.

“A 30yr old man and a 28yr old woman were arrested and charged with burglary, going equipped for theft and disorderly behaviour. Both were remanded in custody.

“A 17yr old youth was arrested and charged with possession of a class B drug and theft. He was charged to the next available court and released on bail.

“A 24yr old man was arrested for breach of court bail, he was subsequently remanded in custody.

“A 15yr old youth was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and criminal damage. He was charged to the next available court and released on bail.”
