MAN CHARGED OVER £8,000 COCAINE HAUL

strand-road-police-station-derry-google-1-1-400x240-20131121-132010-438-1-264x240POLICE have charged a 22-year-old man with a number of drugs offences following the discovery of suspected cocaine with street value of £8,000 on Thursday.

Detectives from PSNI Organised Crime Branch have charged the man with possession of a Class A controlled drug, possessing a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of Class A controlled drug.

The man was arrested following the recovery of the discovery of the drug during a search of a property in the Foyle Springs area of Derry.

A follow up search was also conducted at a property in the Creggan area of the City yesterday.

A 42 year old man also arrested yesterday during the operation has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
