DETECTIVES have charged a 33-year-old man in connection with a hijacking in west Belfast.
He was arrested after a woman was approached by a man with a knife and threatened at New Barnsley Park around 9 pm on Friday.
She was forced out of her car before the man drove off. The car was later found abandoned at La Salle Drive.
The 33-year-old is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Monday for a first remand hearing.
He has been charged with a number of offences, including hijacking, kidnapping and false imprisonment.
