SOUTH BELFAST CARJACKING: WOMAN’S CAR TAKEN AT KNIFEPOINT

Police sceneDETECTIVES are hunting a thug who stole a woman’s car at knifepoint.

Officers have appealed for information after a woman was threatened by the knife-wielding man during the hijacking in south Belfast this afternoon, Monday, July 21.

The carjacking happened at around 2 pm in Pretoria Street in the Stranmillis area of the city.

A man in his 20s threatened the woman before getting into the car and driving off with the woman still inside it.

She was let out of the car at Broomhill Park Central before the man made off towards the Malone Road.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to ring detectives on the non-emergency 101 number.
