Judy the cat who was shot in the eye with a pellet gun

POLICE are appealing for information following the report of a brutal attack on a cat.

The incident happened in the Beechfields area of Antrim on Wednesday 9th July.

A spokesman said: “Sometime between 7pm and 11.45pm a cat by the name of Judy was shot through its left eye by a pellet gun.

“The pellet has lodged in the cat’s head and following surgery it is expected to survive but may lose it’s eye.

“Police are appealing to anyone who was in the Beechfields area and who may have seen any suspicious activity or anyone who has any information which may assist them with their enquiries to contact officers in Antrim on the non emergency number 101.

“Information can also be passed anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
