Police appeal over theft of Union flag from Orange Hall

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a union flag from an Orange hall.

At around 11.15pm last night it was reported that the flag had been removed from the roof of the hall in Eglinton’s Coolafinny Road and replaced with a 32 County Sovereignty Movement flag.

It’s believed three males may have been involved and they may have left the area in a white Seat Leon car.

Police are treating the theft as a hate crime.

Anyone with information should contact officers at Strand Road on 101.
