A 24 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

It follows an incident in the Montrose Street area of East Belfast in the early hours of Saturday 12 July.

At approximately 2.20am, a 21 year old was injured by a knife.

He required hospital treatment for his injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

The 24 year old man is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
