DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Unit believe they have made a major breakthrough into those behind dissident republican punishment attacks.
On Tuesday, TIU detectives along with specialist Tactical Support Group (TSG) officers swooped and arrested six people over attacks carried out by Oglaigh na hEirean.
The arrests were made following searches carried out in west Belfast and Dunmurry on Tuesday.
Five men aged between 31 and 58 were arrested along with a 32-year-old woman for questioning under section 41 of the Terrorism Act.
All six are being held at the serious crime suite in Antrim.
