DETECTIVES have charged a man over a stabbing at an east Belfast fishing tackle shop this week.
The 49 year old man has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
A 66-year-old suffered stab wounds to his neck and back.
He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning for a first remand hearing.
As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
The charge follows a stabbing at Wolsley’s fishing tackle shop on Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast on Tuesday.
