ARMED AND MASKED MEN HUNTED OVER SHOP ROBBERY

PSNIDETECTIVES in Newtownabbey are appealing for information following an armed robbery that occurred in the Bridewell Drive area of Carrickfergus on the morning of Monday 2 June.

At approximately 7am, two masked men entered a shop, threatened the female staff member and demanded money.

The woman, aged in her 60s, was tied up by the men before they made off with a sum of cash.

One of the men is described as being of medium build, was wearing a blue anorak and was armed with a knife.

The other man is described as being of medium build and was wearing a black jacket.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact CID in Newtownabbey Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
